Carl Perkins Co-Op
The Carl Perkins Career Specialist assists students within the Carl Perkins Co-op in developing their educational and career goals. Students are given assessments to determine their aptitude, career interest, and work values. These assessments are for all students regardless of whether they are planning to attend college, attend a career tech, join the military or go directly to work after graduation. Career Placement
Students are encouraged to utilize the career placement services at WTC as a student and for at least six months following completion of their career major. This service provides students with employment opportunity information, résumé writing, interviewing techniques, job readiness, portfolio development, and other job search skills. Counselors
Counselors provide prospective and current students with information on occupational choices to meet their career goals. Assistance is available for academic needs, personal development and decision making. For enrollment opportunities or more information about guidance services contact:

Enrollment
Enrollment is open to both adults and high school students; however, the following programs are limited to adult enrollment only: Dental Assisting, Dental Hygienist, and Practical Nursing.
Class Sessions are Monday-Friday from 8:10 a.m.-11:15 a.m. and 12:40 p.m.-3.45 p.m.
High School Students
Prior to enrollment, students should visit with their high school counselor and/or principal and parent(s) guardian. Career major enrollment choice should be based on assessed interest, achievement and abilities. Home school students must provide affidavit of school credentials.
Adults
Following the assessment the student and counselor will review the results. The student will then make the enrollment decision.
