This Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Biomedical Sciences Program is a sequence of six S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) based courses allows students to explore the concepts of human medicine and are introduced to bioinformatics; including mapping and analyzing DNA.

Students work on a variety of machines, such as highway trucks, autos, agricultural equipment, and construction equipment.  They will gain the knowledge and skills required for entry-level employment into the diesel mechanics field.

In PLTW Engineering students engage in applying science, technology, engineering, and math through a project-based, hands-on approach to solve complex open-ended problems in a real world context.  Students learn and apply the engineering design process, and use the same industry leading technology and software as are used in the world's top companies.  Before beginning post-secondary education or entering careers, students are given an opportunity to learn about different engineering disciplines.  Students are immersed in design as they investigate topics such as sustainability, structures, civil engineering, architecture, and manufacturing.

Multimedia Technology provides a rich learning environment where students develop broadcasting, animation, electronic publishing, photography, and digital video skills as they prepare communications to be marketed worldwide. Students will use their creativity to design, develop, produce, edit and broadcast weekly newscasts, student spotlights, program spotlights, and other events on Facebook.com/WestTechCenter.  The environment will enable students to gain the skills needed for life-long learning, flexibility, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Welding and Metal Fabrication is designed to teach skills needed to find a position in this productive field.  Individuals who are skilled in welding and joining metals are always in demand.  Through our performance based training, students will learn how welding systems work.  Also, they will learn the safe and correct use of equipment, tools, and materials.
